Biographical Information

I was born in New York City and lived there as a child, attending the Little Red School House and Elizabeth Irwin for grade school and the first half of freshman year in high school. My home was in the middle of greenwich village.

I Attended high school at The Storm King School a small boarding school in the beautiful Hudson River Valley.

After high school, it was off to college at Duke University.

I took an 18 month interlude during college to live and work at Carolina Sky Sports during which time I earned my parachute rigger certification, skydiving jumpmaster and instructor ratings, and my private pilot license. It was also during this time that I met the love of my life, the woman I would eventually marry, Jeanie. I eventually returned to school and graduated with a degree in psychology.

My first job after college was at DataFlow Companies, Inc. where I learned many skills including computer programming, networking, sales, and customer service. DataFlow was eventually sold to Companion Technologies. After over seventeen years at DataFlow/CT, I left to work at Quintiles, Inc. in the IT Operations department.

At Quintiles, I learned about running a data center in a mid-size corporate environment, as well as learning a lot about the pharmaceutical industry. After eighteen months at Quintiles, Jeanie finally convinced me to apply for a job at what was then Tivoli Systems, an IBM Company.

Initially, I was hired as the manager for Tivoli's Eastern Region IT System Services, where I was responsible for ensuring the reliable and efficient operation of the Tivoli Eastern Region ADSM/TSM, Unix, Lotus Notes, and Windows NT servers in support of over 2000 users in eight regional offices. After about a year, there was an internal reorganization, and I became the Manager, Unix Services supporting Tivoli Software. In this role, I was responsible for managing and directing the efforts of Unix Services Team staff in three physical locations to ensure the reliable and efficient operation of all production Unix servers for Tivoli Software in North America. About six months later, my scope was expanded to include Wintel servers, Lotus Notes, and User Administration for North America.

In June of 2003, I once again changed positions due to another reorganization. I now work in IBM Global Services as a Technical Solutions Manager, accountable for all activities related to delivering a marketable, profitable and deliverable Technical Solutions for Strategic Outsourcing engagements.
